Landmark School enrolls close to 500 students in grades 2 through 12. Every student has dyslexia or a related language-based learning difference. The school sits on two coastal campuses in Prides Crossing, Massachusetts, about 30 miles north of Boston. Students attend as day or boarding students, and the program is built around structured literacy from the start.

Teaching here looks different from a mainstream classroom. Classes are small. Every teacher uses language-based instruction in every subject, every day — from Anatomy to one-on-one Tutorial. New faculty receive paid training in the Landmark method, so teachers without a special education background can step in and learn the work. American Sign Language is also part of the language offerings.

The culture leans collaborative. Because students share a learning profile, faculty compare notes across departments and adjust pacing together. Tutorial is a daily one-to-one class, so most teachers come to know a handful of students deeply each year.

Compensation rests on a steady base. Landmark School reported about $43 million in revenue and $64 million in net assets in 2023, with fundraising up roughly 65 percent year over year. Boarding faculty also receive on-campus housing, which carries real value on the North Shore.

The school hires across all three divisions for classroom teachers, tutorial instructors, residential staff, coaches, and administrators. Most openings post before the academic year, though tutorial and residential roles open up year-round. For educators drawn to literacy and learning science, Landmark School is a focused place to teach.
